U6-7 Girls and Boys
Season 2024-25

The U6/U7 team is for all 6-7 year old children who like to move and play with a ball.

At Team Haderslev YMCA, we emphasize that it should be fun and challenging at the same time. We play, run, throw, grab and play together - and then we aim for the children to be as active as possible and have as many ball touches as possible throughout the training.

We go to half-day rallies approx. 3-4 times in a season, and everyone can join - regardless of level. We encourage everyone to participate in these events to increase motivation and the children's enjoyment of handball.

When can your child start?

Your child can start when he is 5½ years old and we have space on the team. In addition, there are absolutely no requirements for what your child must be able to do with a ball before starting. The most important thing is that the child wants to play handball. Then we will probably do our best to ensure that your child has a fun training session.

For children younger than 5½ years, we refer to the club's Father/Mother/Child team, which is a good place to start and get a taste for playing with a ball.

Expectations

When your child starts playing handball, there are certain expectations for you as a parent. We are a club run entirely on a voluntary basis, and therefore it is necessary that everyone helps. It can, for example, be with shirt washing, cake baking or assistant coach occasionally, as well as a function as team leader when we are out for competitions.
